The risky part of a copy bot is the key, not the code.

A bot needs permission to trade your account. If that permission can also withdraw, a leaked config file or a bad operator can empty it. Check who holds the key before you check anything else.

Who holds the keyYou, in a config file on a server. Safe if it is a Hyperliquid API wallet, which can't withdraw. Risky if it is your main private key.Depends on the bot. What the bot does on every check

01

Read

About every 20 seconds, read the trader's positions and yours from Hyperliquid.

02

Scale

Size the trader's book to your balance and your risk multiplier, from 1x to 2.5x.

03

Limit

Cap leverage at 40x per position, hold back orders under $10, and never fill more than 3% from mid when opening.

04

Place

Send only the difference as orders on Hyperliquid, signed by your trade-only key.

Before you turn it on

Do I need to code or run anything?

No. You pick a trader, set your amount and limits, and approve a trade-only key once. The copying runs on MirrorTrade's servers, so your laptop can be off.

Can the bot withdraw my money?

No. Your funds sit in an Agent Account that you own. The agent key can place and cancel orders and change leverage and margin settings. Withdrawals, transfers and sends are refused before they can be signed, and every movement of funds needs your own signature.

What does it cost?

0.05% of each copied trade, charged only when the trade executes, plus Hyperliquid's own trading fee. There is no subscription and no share of your profit.

How fast does it copy a trade?

The engine checks about every 20 seconds, so a new trade is usually copied on the next check. That suits traders who hold for hours or days. It does not suit traders who scalp in and out within a minute.

Can I set a stop-loss?

Yes. You can set a take-profit and a stop-loss for the whole strategy before anything runs. When one is hit, the strategy closes. A stop-loss is an instruction, not a guaranteed price.

Will I get the same returns as the trader?

No. Your result will differ because of check timing, slippage, fees, the $10 minimum order size and your account size. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Can I stop the bot?

Yes, any time. Stopping closes your copied positions with market orders straight away. The money stays in your Agent Account until you withdraw it.

A bot copies losses as faithfully as wins

Automation removes the delay, not the risk. The trader you pick decides most of your result, so pick on the worst dip they have survived, not the headline profit. The ranked list of qualified traders shows each wallet's worst dip, history and Mirror Score, and how the copy engine works explains every limit above in detail.

Copy trading involves risk

You can lose money, including your whole deposit on leveraged positions. A trader can change style, raise leverage or lose money, and your result will differ from theirs because of timing, slippage, fees and account size. The settings on this page (20 seconds between checks, 3% price cap, 40x limit, $10 minimum) are current production settings and may change. MirrorTrade provides software and controls, not investment advice or a promise of profit.
